  • 2 - 6 November 2002 - Jozef MN Hehanussa, M.Th diundang oleh Catolic Relief Services untuk menjadi salah satu fasilitator pada pelatihan tentang Pencegahan dan Penanganan Konflik di Tomohon
  • 14 - 28 Oktober 2002 - Depsos DIY mengundang PSPP untuk mengambil bagian dalam DIKLAT PENDAMPINGAN KORBAN BENCANA SOSIAL (KORBAN KONFLIK SOSIAL) di Yogyakarta. Dalam memberi materi PSPP dibantu oleh Mahasiswa MPRK-UGM dan Pusat Pengembangan Pribadi UKDW. Materi-materi yang diberikan antara lain Pemberdayaan Untuk Rekonsiliasi, Psikopatologi Sosial, Pencegahan Konflik (mengurangi prasangka dan diskriminasi), Emergensi respon, pemetaan wilayah rawan konflik, pemberdayaan masyarakat pasca konflik, penanganan pengungsi, SNAP, dll
  • Dikarenakan adanya halangan yang tidak dapat dihindari maka pelatihan The Hero's Journey ditunda, dan akan ada pemberitahuan berikutnya.
  • 18 Oktober 2002 - Diskusi bulanan bekerja sama dengan Lembaga Arupa dengan tema "Randublatung Sebuah Mosaik Konflik", silakan klik di report
  • 7-12 Oktober 2002 - Pelatihan Pemberdayaan untuk Perdamaian dan Pengelolaan Konflik dengan desain baru. Pelatihan diadakan di dua tempat yaitu di GHCC-UKDW dan Villa Mawar Asri Yogyakarta. Diikuti oleh 32 peserta yang berasal dari seluruh Indonesia dari mulai Aceh sampai Papua. Report menyusul

  • 15 - 19 April 2002 - Empowering for Peacebuilding and Conflict Management in Palu. Facilitators are Paulus S Widjaja Ph.D. (cand), Dr. Ruth Mischnick, and Wiwin Siti Aminah . This event is in cooperation with Yayasan Sejati, Crisis Center GKST. We are planning for a second step on May 6-9, 2002. report in Bahasa Indonesia.

  • October 9-14, 2000 at Kaliurang, DI Yogyakarta. Empowering for Reconciliation Workshop, PSPP's basic workshop. The focus is learning how to transform conflict into reconciliation and making an action plan for using the new ideas developed in the workshop.
  • September 26-30, 2000 at Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines. Training for church workers and partners of Christian Reformed World Relief Committee.
  • August 28-31, 2000 at Biak, Irian Jaya. Training in facilitation for Sinode GKI pastors (or try the English version from a faster server).
  • August 18-20, 2000 at Bandungan, Java. Facilitation of Temu Raya of Sinode Gereja Injili Tanah Jawa. The reconciliation meeting leading to the Sidang Raya reuniting the Synod after ten years of separation.
  • May 8-30, 2000 at various locations in Papua Barat (or try the English version from a faster server). Training and facilitation for 400 of the 460 pastors of Sinode Gereja Kristen Injili di Irian Jaya. The question posed was: "How shall the church respond to the issues arising from aspirations for independence and autonomy?" The process developed a set of draft plans for further work, and will be followed by an intensive training for GKI facilitators later this year.
  • March 1-6, 2000 in Yogyakarta, Java (or try the English version from a faster server). Five-day Empowering for Reconciliation training. The group included followers of Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism and Islam. This is the basic workshop for those wanting to work with community reconciliation. Co-trainers Duane Ruth-Heffelbower of PSPP and Bill O'Neill of BellMitra Associates, Birmingham, Alabama, assisted by PSPP staff and TIRA.
  • February 26-28, 2000 in Yogyakarta, Java. Advanced Training in Mediation. A three-day workshop for members of Tim Independen Rekonsiliasi Ambon (TIRA) (Independent Team for Reconciliation of Ambon). The team had just returned from its first visit to Ambon, the largest of the Moluku Islands. Ambon has been wracked by deadly violence between Christians and Muslims for the past year. TIRA is an inter-religious group of Muslims and Christians dedicated to offering non-violent alternatives to the Ambonese people. It is sponsored by Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana, Gadjah Mada University (public) and the Islamic University. This seminar and training time was designed to debrief and develop a plan for the next phases of their involvement. Craig Arendse of South Africa was lead trainer. Duane Ruth-Heffelbower of PSPP has an ongoing consulting/ training/support role for the team. Support for this event was provided by Plowshares Institute and PSPP staff.
  • February 23-25, 2000 in Yogyakarta. Training of Trainers in Community Conflict Transformation. This training was for those who had previously had Empowering for Reconciliation. The goal was to prepare attenders to offer the Empowering training in their own setting, as well as to do skill building. Bob and Alice Evans from Plowshares Institute in the U.S. were lead trainers with assistance from Craig Arendse of South Africa and support from PSPP staff.
  • January 25, 2000 in Manokwari, West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya). Konflik dan Menciptakan Perdamaian Lintas Budaya. Half-day seminar by Duane Ruth-Heffelbower introducing cross-cultural conflict concepts to members of the faculty of Cenderawasih University (public university) and leaders from non-governmental organizations in the area. Application of the concepts to inter-ethnic violence was the focus.
  • December 17-19, 1999 in Bandungan, Java. Kursus Resolusi Konflik Bagi Generasi Muda (A Course in Conflict Resolution for the Younger Generation) training for university and high school student activists from the city of Solo which has been plagued by riots. Sponsored by Forum Salatiga.
  • November 19-20, 1999 in Salatiga, Java for Indonesia and Philippines national staff and partners of Christian Reformed World Relief Committee. Training titled: "Konflik dan Menciptakan Perdamaian Lintas Budaya." (Conflict and Peacemaking Across Cultures). Duane Ruth-Heffelbower and Henry Hamonangan Sitohang of PSPP were trainers.
