Empowering for Reconciliation National Workshop

PSPP offered its Empowering for Reconciliation basic workshop October 10-13, 2001 at the UKDW Guest House and Conference Center in Kaliurang. Forty-five participants from throughout Indonesia, including expatriate staff of international NGOs, attended the event. The workshop was in Indonesian. PSPP facilitators for the event were:

• Pdt. Jozef M.N. Hehanussa, M.Th., UKDW Faculty of Theology, Program Director and Secretary of PSPP.
• Rev. Duane Ruth-Heffelbower, M.Div, J.D. Professor of Conflict Management and Peacemaking, Fresno Pacific University, on leave to PSPP under Mennonite Central Committee.
• Kuriake Kharismawan, S.Psi., Director, UKDW Counseling Center (PPP)
• Krisni Nur Patrianti, M.Hum., UKDW MKDU Faculty
• Endah Setyowati, Dra., UKDW MKDU Faculty
• Pratomo Nugroho S., M.A., UKDW MKDU Faculty

The event was opened by DR. Aristarchus Sukarto, Rektor of UKDW.	Role plays and work groups were sometimes done in the eating area outside.	We had a group of expatriates participating. Here they take a turn role playing for the group.	Pak Tom coaching a group.
Part of the workshop is developing a plan for your group based on a real situation you are facing. Here the group from World Vision is focused on the interethnic conflict in Kalimantan.
